MACHINE GUN KELLY: Opens Up on *Ellen*

Written by on May 14, 2021

The Ellen DeGeneres Show may be getting ready to go away, but on the day the show’s departure was announced, which was (Wednesday), she was able to coax a lot out of her guest, Machine Gun Kelly

The pop-punk singer, rapper and actor told the origin story behind the “blood vial necklaces” he and girlfriend Megan Fox both wear. He tells Ellen that early in their relationship Fox was going to Bulgaria to film a movie and that he didn’t have a passport at the time. He was “kind of freaking out” that she was leaving and wouldn’t even be able to go and see her. He said that while some people give their partner a handkerchief as a keepsake to remember them by, “She gave me her DNA.”

He went on to explain that he was finally able to get a passport and visit Megan in Bulgaria — with the help of Senator Bernie Sanders. He also spoke about their unusual first couple of dates, one of which was spent swimming with sharks, the haunted bedroom that they still share, and what went on behind-the-scenes at his recent Saturday Night Live appearance.

He also gave a cool performance of “Love Race” with Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens and Travis Barker. Theystarted their single, while emerging at the opening of the song from large boxes made to look like they were holding action figures.
