DRAKE: “God’s Plan” Works Out

Drake‘s celebrating the win of a woman he helped put through college.

Remember the 2018 video for “God’s Plan” — the one where Drake went around Miami doing good for the locals? One of the people featured in that video was Destiny James, a student who was given a $50,000 scholarship to complete her undergraduate studies at the University of Miami. Since then, she’s moved onward and upward to University of North Carolina, where she recently graduated with her master’s degree in Public Health. 

Drake gassed up her accomplishment, posting “Lets gooooooooo Des!” in her Instagram comments.

She tells The Shade Room about what inspired her to pursue a degree in public health. “Public health has been a passion of mine since 2016, when my dad passed from stage-four lung cancer… Obtaining this degree is something I will always be proud of! The obstacles I was able to overcome fueled my fire and I am so proud to say I am now a graduate of the number-one ranked public school for public health in the country.”
