PRINCE HARRY: “Find Yourself Doing Loads of Drugs’

One week from today, Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey launch their mental health series, The Me You Can’t See.

This week, Harry sat down for 90-minutes with Armchair Expert host Dax Shepard to promote the Apple TV+ series and talk Harry’s mental health journey. He confessed that Royal Family life traumatized him (quote) “It’s your upbringing and everything that happened to you – the trauma, pain, and suffering. All of a sudden you’re doing loads of drugs and partying hard.”

In 2012, TMZ published naked photos of Harry in Las Vegas playing a game of strip billiards. These were his wildest days and Queen Elizabeth immediately ordered Harry back to Afghanistan as an Apache helicopter pilot.

In his 20s, he wanted to quit his family (quote) “I don’t want this job, I don’t want to be here, I’ve seen the business model. I know how this operation runs and how it works. I don’t want to be part of this.”

Harry said that therapy completely changed his perspective (quote) “It was like the bubble was burst. I plucked my head out of the sand. In this position of privilege, stop complaining and stop thinking you want something different — make this different.”

Harry broke ties with the Royals and moved his family to California (quote) “Sometimes you’ve got to put your mental health first. There’s genetic pain and suffering that gets passed down. We as parents should be doing the most we can to try and say, ‘I’m going to make sure that doesn’t happen to you.’”

Harry gave a glimpse of what it was like to date Meghan Markle in the early days. During her first trip to London, they made a secret rendezvous (quote) “We met up in a supermarket in London pretending that we didn’t know each other. We texted each other from the other side of the aisle.” (E! News)
