JACK HARLOW: Responds to Fatal Louisville Shooting

Written by on May 14, 2021

Jack Harlow is speaking out for the first time since the world has learned of his connection to a shooting at a Louisville nightclub.

The “What’s Poppin’” rapper was attending a Kentucky Derby afterparty when an argument between and a man and woman led to shots being fired. We learned this week that the man who fired those shots was allegedly Harlow’s DJ. Harlow posted a statement to his Instagram Stories, where he wrote, “My heart is broken by the events that occurred over Derby weekend. My heart breaks for Kasmira, her children and everyone else touched by this tragic death… My heart breaks for my city, a place that’s been through too much pain already.”

He continued, “I’ve been in touch with Kasmira’s family during this unimaginably painful time, and I’m grateful to them for keeping the lines of communication open. Nothing can reverse what happened. Too many lives have been changed forever. My life will remain committed to making Louisville a better place.”
