2. Abominable – $12 million
3. Downton Abbey – $8 million
4. Hustlers – $6.3 million
5. It: Chapter Two – $5.4 million

Joker was laughing all the way to the bank over the weekend as the DC Comics adaptation scored the best October opening weekend of all-time and the fourth-best opening for an R-rated movie. It was also the number-one movie overseas with a $234 million global haul.

Every other movie in the Top 5 dropped one spot on the list. Abominable was second with $12 million, Downton Abbey was third with $8 million, Hustlers was fourth with $6.3 million and It: Chapter Two was fifth with $5.4 million.
