Disney’s D23 expo is better than ever with major announcements for fans of all things Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, The Simpsons, and much more.

This year, new shows were a major topic as Disney is rolling out live-action films starring some of our favored like Halle Bailey who’s ‘Little Mermaid” trailer was released during the expo, as well as H.E.R., who is set to play Bell in the upcoming “Beauty And The Beast” 30-year celebration.

But another big announcer was a history-making one for The team over at Marvel who denied the first episode of their show “Moon Girl and Devil Dragon” featuring their first ever black teenage superhero. Laurence Fishburne, a creator and executive producer shared during a panel at the D23 expo that the representation of black family’s in a way that features multi-generations members was important. He also shared that this 13-year-old superhero, Lunella is an extremely smart member of the Marvel universe, one that is just as smart as Tony Stark.
