Woman Goes Into Labor During Pink Concert

What a night it must have been for Angela Mercer, a devoted Pink fan who experienced the ultimate concert souvenir — a baby boy! Yes, you read that right. Angela went into early labor while attending a Pink concert in Boston, and instead of heading straight to the hospital, she decided to make a grand entrance by walking through traffic. Talk about dedication to both the music and the labor process! It’s safe to say that Angela’s little one will have quite the story to tell when he grows up.

At only 31 weeks pregnant, Angela hadn’t been expecting her son’s arrival quite yet, but she started having contractions shortly after arriving for the show,” the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where Mercer gave birth, revealed. Due to the heavy traffic amid the concert, “She and her family decided the fastest way to get to Brigham and Women’s was to walk,” the hospital added. “And so, decked out in their concert outfits, they made the trek to our hospital where Angela later delivered her son in Brigham’s NICU.”

It seems like Pink herself has had her fair share of exciting incidents during her concerts. From receiving a wheel of cheese (yes, you read that right too) to having someone throw their mother’s ashes onto the stage, this singer certainly knows how to keep things exciting. But I bet she never expected one of her fans to give birth during her show. That takes fan dedication to a whole new level.
