TIKTOK: Implementing 18-and-Over Rating

TikTok is taking a step closer to align with movie ratings. It will implement a warning for clips with “overtly mature themes.”

The warning advises which videos are for viewers at least 18 years old. However, like with TV and movie ratings, this “maturity score” is only a suggestive safeguard. TikTok will not block younger teens from watching videos with “complex themes intended for older audiences.”

Another change coming to TikTok is the ability to mute keywords and hashtags from your timeline. (Variety)
