TEXAS SCHOOL SHOOTING: Grieving Husband Dies

There’s more tragedy related to Tuesday’s mass shooting of 19 children and two teachers. The husband of one of the teachers killed died of a cardiac emergency Thursday while getting ready for his wife’s funeral, according to the family.

Joe and Irma Garcia, who were high school sweethearts, had been married for 24 years before she was shot to death Tuesday at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.

John Martinez, Irma Garcia’s nephew, told NBC News, “I don’t even know how to feel. I don’t believe it. I don’t want to believe it,” commenting on Joe Garcia’s death. (NBC News)
