The next three days will occupy music lovers like never before.

Tonight on FX cable network is the highly-anticipated documentary from the New York TimesMalfunction: The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson examines the 2004 Super Bowl halftime scandal. More specifically, Justin Timberlake’s integral role in causing it and evading consequences.

Silk Sonic opens the American Music Awards on ABC this Sunday.

Saturday night belongs to Saweetie. It’s her first performance on Saturday Night Live with Simu Liu as guest host. He starred in the Marvel Comic movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Adele’s fourth studio album, 30, is available and tops the streaming charts, which Taylor Swift dominated through yesterday.

Billboard will release final numbers on Sunday. Red (Taylor’s Version) is on track for an easy first-place finish with sales approaching 600,000. Only Drake’s Certified Lover Boy had a bigger debut week this year.

We will learn for sure on Monday that Taylor joins Barbra Streisand as the only two women with 10 albums that topped the Billboard chart.
