DEMI LOVATO: First Public Appearance Since Overdose

Demi Lovato made her first public appearance 15 months after a near-fatal overdose and one year since graduating from rehab treatment.

On stage for the Teen Vogue Summit, Demi warned followers she won’t release that new music anytime soon. She said, (quote) “There is a reason it’s taking longer. I am so cautious this time around of jumping back into things.”

On Saturday, Demi also told Teen Vogue editor-in-chief Lindsay Peoples Wagner,(quote) “What I see in the mirror: I see someone who has overcome a lot. I don’t see a championship winner, but I see a fighter. That’s what I see when I look in the mirror — a strong woman.” (Variety)
