*THE VOICE*: Nick Jonas Replacing Gwen Stefani

Written by on October 8, 2019

Gwen Stefani is leaving The Voice only to be replaced by Nick Jonas.

He made the surprise announcement with the help of Ellen DeGeneres. During her show that will air Tuesday, she pushed Nick to spill the beans. Then Ellen played pre-recorded videos of The Voice coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend welcoming Nick.

Gwen Stefani did not make a video because the chair she occupies this season will be taken by Nick. A source from The Voice said Gwen’s departure was necessary due to her Las Vegas contract with Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater. Shows return in February for her Just a Girl residency. More importantly, she plays Vegas in May during the live finals of The Voice. (Entertainment Tonight)

Adam Levine told Ellen DeGeneres on Monday that he opted to leave The Voice to become a full-time stay-at-home dad. Sounds good, but I don’t believe it for a second.

Ellen – Adam Levine talked with Ellen about why he decided, after a decade, to leave The Voice to become a stay-at-home-dad.
