The American Heart Association invited Demi Lovato to perform at a cardiovascular disease event. Demi chose her hit song from a decade ago, “Heart Attack”. Some called that choice “tone deaf.” Others considered it a touching moment for Demi, who suffered three strokes and a heart attack from her 2018 drug overdose. (Entertainment Weekly)
Popular podcaster Joe Rogan is a quarter-billion dollars richer. He signed a new deal with Spotify for $250 million. The contract allows for The Joe Rogan Experience to be seen and heard on platforms beyond Spotify such as YouTube and Apple Podcasts. (Wall Street Journal)
NBA all-star Steph Curry and his wife Ayesha are godparents to Lindsay Lohan’s son. Saturday night, Lindsay attended an NBA game between the Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors. After dropping 60 points in the game, Steph Curry signed his Warriors jersey to Lohan’s son Luai (quote) “Your godparents love you!” (NBC News)
A major cast change on Law & Order will occur in two-weeks. Sam Waterston will appear in his final episode after 25-years and more than 400 shows. His replacement will be Tony Goldwyn, best known for his role opposite Kerry Washington in Scandal. (TV Line)
The Bob Marley bio-pic One Love arrives on Valentine’s Day. Sadly, Marley’s former bandleader, Aston “Family Man” Barrett, won’t see the movie. He passed away last week at age 77. Barrett got the nickname “Family Man” because among his survivors are 41 children (that we know of).
