NBC cast Valerie Bertinelli to play Demi Lovato’s mother on the upcoming NBC sit-com, Hungry. The show revolves around members of a 12-step group with food issues. Bertinelli hosts two Food Network shows, Valerie’s Home Cooking and Kids Baking Championship. Her character owns a restaurant and is described as “a self-critical and emotional mess who has lost and gained the same 30 pounds for 30 years.” (The Hollywood Reporter)
