The Marvel Comics adaptation of Eternals will rule the weekend box office with an $80 million debut. Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan and Richard Madden star. 

At the 11th-hour, several Middle East nations canceled screenings. Eternals has been censored without an explanation. However, countries such as Saudi Arabia do not allow same-sex content. A gay couple kisses in Eternals, which may be the reason behind the ban. (The Wrap)

Counter-programming includes Kristen Stewart in the starring role as Princess Diana. The bio-pic is called Spencer, which was Lady Di’s maiden name. Kristen Stewart has earned high praise from film critics, who believe she’s ripe for an Academy Award nomination. (Deadline)
