The CDC announced new guidelines for those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine, and it looks like the Miami Heat is offering new perks for those fans as well. According to ESPN, the Heat announced plans to open two sections for fully vaccinated fans in its arena starting April 1st. Masks will reportedly still be required for all fans, but social distancing rules will be “slightly relaxed in those areas.” ESPN reports that the two sections will be devoted to full vaccinated fans only, and groups of fans will be separated by one seat. Fans will reportedly enter the arena through a separate gate and will be required to show their vaccination card and ID. Fans will also have to be fully vaccinated for at least 14 days to enter. ESPN also notes that various other teams are in talks to implement the new sections.
