A Reggae Valentines Concert featuring Dexta Daps that was scheduled for this weekend in Nassau and Freeport has been DENIED approval from MOH, It’s with great regret that we inform the public that the concert will NOT be held. All tickets holders will receive a full refund!

Promoters of a Reggae Valentine Event featuring Dexta Daps did not get the health approvals to stage their concert in Nassau and Freeport Grand Bahama this weekend.

Director of Communications in the Office of the Prime Minister Latrae Rahming confirmed last night the concert request was denied after promoters resubmitted their application. The promoter Clayvon Duncombe of Phluid Factory yesterday encouraged fans to purchase tickets, insisting the concert was still on.

The Minister of Health Dr Michael Darville said communication was sent on January 17 to the organizers in response to their request for approval of the event, which sought to host 2,000 people on February 11. The minister said the application was denied in part due to the state of the pandemic at that time, but the organizers were invited to resubmit a request for approval for reconsideration two weeks prior to the event.
