12-Year-Old Boy, Collapses & Dies After Being Forced To Run In Extreme Heat

This is such a heartbreaking story. In Lake Elsinore, California, a 12-year-old boy, who was not dressed for gym class, collapsed and later died after his teacher forced him to run in extreme heat, said to be in the mid to high 90s.

It is reported that the child, Yahshua Robinson, collapsed and became unresponsive during his physical education class at Canyon Lake Middle School around 11 a.m. on Tuesday (August 29). The child’s family has since shared details of his tragic death with various news outlets and also via a GoFundMe page.

A crowdfunding campaign has been set up for “Yaya” by his aunt, Amarna Plummer, which at the time of publishing this article shows $73,350 raised of a $100,000 goal. In the description, it says that the child headed off to the school on Tuesday for a typical and fun-filled day; but things took a turn during his P.E. class.

Plummer says that the Robinson family’s 12-year-old son Yahshua collapsed and became unresponsive in the class, which Plummer says was due to the “sweltering heat” outside. They noted that when the child hit the floor, staff tried to treat him, and eventually medical professionals were called upon, but tragically he succumbed to cardiac arrest at the hospital.
