WENDY WILLIAMS: Financial Conservatorship

A judge appointed a “financial guardian” to look after the accounts belonging to Wendy Williams. Through the month of July, she’s basically in a financial conservatorship.
Wendy Williams vehemently disagreed with the court decision. She wants to work with a financial planner of her choosing. Her attorney said, (quote) “Wendy has been very clear that she does not want a financial guardian to tell her what she can and cannot do with her money.”
Wendy and Wells Fargo are in a legal battle. They froze her bank accounts after receiving evidence that Wendy is an “incapacitated person.”
She’s trying to switch banks. Wendy believes there’s misconduct by two previous financial advisors. One of them took Wendy’s American Express card to hire an attorney and create this guardianship over her. (The Hollywood Reporter)
