ELON MUSK: Offers $6 Billion to End World Hunger

Written by on November 2, 2021

The world’s wealthiest person offered to donate $6 billion to end world hunger. Elon Musk made the proposal with one precondition: That the United Nations World Food Programme prove $6 billion was enough money.

The director of the World Food Programme claimed that $6 billion would save 42 million starving people, “who are literally going to die if we don’t reach them.”

Musk tweeted how he could raise the funds, right now, by selling Tesla shares. On Monday’s stock exchange, Tesla rose nearly 9%. Based on his ownership in Tesla, Musk “made” yesterday more than $24 billion. (People)

This year alone, Musk more than doubled his net worth to $335 billion. That calculates to $16 billion earned per month — or $800 million every workday, which equates to an hourly wage of $100 million! (Bloomberg Billionaires Index)
