LORDE: Twitter Trending #FreeLorde

On Tuesday, the hashtag #FreeLorde was trending on Twitter.

Her seven-million followers used Lorde as an example while they protested a potential law. New Zealand lawmakers want to fine parents $3,000 if a child drops out of school. Students currently must remain through age 16.

Lorde is a high school drop-out but highly successful. Seems unfair for her folks to cough up $3,000 only because Lorde had a better option – making millions on music.
