Blue Ivy is going Hollywood!
Jay-Z and Beyonce’s oldest daughter has joined the cast of the upcoming Disney film Mufasa, 12-year-old Blue’s name pops up in the credits for a new teaser-trailer for the upcoming Disney flick, where she lends her voice to Simba and Nala’s daughter, Kiara. While this is her first acting role, Blue will be able to draw on some real life inspiration, considering her actual mom plays her lion mom, Nala, in the movie.
The story, set to be released in December of 2024, will dive into the tale of King Mufasa, Simba’s father, who was killed by his younger brother Scar.
Blue has previously lent her voice to her mom’s music, winning an NAACP Image Award, BET Her Award, and Grammy for “Brown Skin Girl” – from the soundtrack of the first film of this series released in 2019, The Lion King.
