Apple is finally giving customers what they’ve been asking for? This Monday during its WWDC 2022 event, Apple announced a bunch of new features including the ability to unsend text messages!
That’s right. Apple software engineering senior VP Craig Federighi announced the changes while discussing iOS 16 updates. Not only will users will be able to unsend messages, but they could also mark threads unread to easily revisit them later, per the Verge. “Users can edit or recall a message for up to 15 minutes after sending it, or recover recently deleted messages for up to 30 days after deletion,” Apple explains in the press release. This new feature for iMessage will roll out with iOS 16, which is slated to be released in Fall 2022.
