Roddy Rich Reclaims Top Spot from Eminem & Earns Longest Running Debut Since 50 Cent

Since releasing his Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial album nearly two months ago, Roddy Ricch has received acclaimed reviews from the general public and fans. However, his project looks to be making history on the charts this month, as his major debut album reclaims the top spot on the Billboard 200.

With Eminem surprising the world last month with his Music to Be Murdered By, Roddy was bumped from the top chart. Over the weekend, the publication revealed that the 21-year-old rapper returned to the no. 1 spot earning 95,000 equivalent album sales.

Roddy’s project charted for no. 1 for its third nonconsecutive week, and will likely be seeing platinum certification before spring. It now becomes the longest-running debut rap album since 50 Cent’s Get rich or Die Tryin,’ released back in 2003.
