Pop Smoke Breaks Eminem’s Record For The Most Weeks At Number One On The Billboard

Written by on March 26, 2021

Pop Smoke’s music continues to break records due to his incredibly loyal fanbase. It was recently announced that Pop Smoke has officially broken Eminem’s Billboard record for the most weeks at number one on the Top Rap Albums chart. Pop Smoke’s debut album “Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon” has now officially broken the record for the longest-running number-one record ever on the Billboard Top Rap Albums chart. This means that Pop Smoke has broken Eminem’s long-standing record on the same chart with his album “Recovery,” which spent 19 weeks at number one on the Top Rap Albums chart in 2010/2011. Pop Smoke has now entered his 20th week on the chart since the album was initially released back in July of 2020. The good news continues for Pop Smoke, as Billboard also reports that he is also quite close to setting a new record on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart, as “Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon” has now spent more weeks at number one than any album since 1990—which was last set by MC Hammer with his chart-topping album “Please Hammer, Don’t Hurt ‘Em.” Meanwhile, others who trail just behind Pop Smoke are Drake with his album “Take Care,” which spent 16 weeks at the top spot, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ “The Heist” at 13 weeks and Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN” that sat at number one for 11 weeks.
