Olivia Rodrigo gave proper songwriting credit to Taylor Swift and Paramore singer Hayley Williams. Doing the right thing cost Olivia millions.

Because “Good 4 U” sounds so much like “Misery Business,” Hayley will earn royalties each time Olivia’s song plays. This year, that amount is calculated to be, according to a music exec, (quote) “north of $2 million.”  (Variety)
