*MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS*: Bounced From Barclays Center

MTV has moved this month’s Video Music Awards away from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

MTV said on Friday, (quote) “In close consultation with state and local health officials‎, it became clear that outdoor performances would safer than an indoor event.”

The ceremony will be conducted outdoors without an audience or very few people in the crowd beyond the production team. Performers will be spread across all five New York boroughs. So far Doja Cat, J Balvin and K-pop sensations BTS agreed to perform. Keke Palmer will host the show on August 30th. (Entertainment Tonight)
