ICE CUBE: *Friday* Sequel Script Complete

Ice Cube has confirmed that the fourth film in the Friday series is definitely happening.

During a visit to ESPN’s The Jump, the rapper-turned-actor revealed that the script is complete. Cube says his team is getting notes from the studio, and is about to start pre-production and casting. He likes the idea of a 2020 release date, which would line up with the cult comedy’s 25th anniversary. 

There’s no confirmation of what other franchise favorites will return. John Witherspoon has mentioned the movie in interviews. Chris Tucker claims he’s open to the possibility but seems on the fence about whether it will happen.
