Captain Marvel again flew higher, further and faster than the competition at the box office. The Marvel flick, starring Brie Larson, earned $69.3 million, a 55% drop from its debut weekend. The blockbusterhas earned $266 million domestically and $760 million worldwide.

The animated Wonder Park outperformed expectations, earning $16 million to open in second. The romantic drama Five Feet Apart also did better than expected, debuting in third with $13.2 million.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World dropped from second to fourth with $9.3 million, and A Madea Family Funeral went from third to fifth with $8.1 million.

The sci-fi thriller Captive State failed to captivate audiences, landing in seventh with only $3.2 million.
