THE WEEKND: Scotches Selena Song

The Weeknd faked out his followers by registering a song called “Like Selena.”

They felt certain he would release a vicious breakup song aimed at Selena Gomez. Then, last week, The Weeknd dropped two tunes called “Blinding Lights” and “Heartless.”

Selena dodged a bullet – for now. She left The Weeknd after dating for less than a year. One of her friends claimed, (quote) “We never really liked him. He’s not a part of the church group and didn’t really mesh with her.”

Just before Thanksgiving, The Weeknd registered with ASCAP the song titled “Like Selena.” The page at the ASCAP website vanished after the holiday. (Entertainment Tonight)
