SUPER BOWL 56: An All-star Hip-Hop Halftime

Written by on October 1, 2021

Super Bowl 56’s halftime show will be a full-on hip-hop party — with five superstar rappers taking the stage.

The NFL announced on Thursday that the big game will feature performances by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar. The last time this many performers took part in the halftime extravaganza was in 2004, when Janet Jackson, Kid Rock, P. Diddy, Nelly and Justin Timberlake teamed up for a show that’s now mostly remembered for Miss Jackson’s “wardrobe malfunction.”

The big game, which takes place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on February 13th, will air on NBC and Telemundo, and stream live on Peacock.
