DEMI LOVATO: Splits From “Sketchy” Fiancé

Demi Lovato split from her fiancé, Max Ehrich, exactly two months after he proposed with a ring valued at more than $2.5 million.

Her team told People magazine the boilerplate breakup spin. (quote) “They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together.” (People)

Her close friends tell a completely different story. Demi lost faith in his motives. Max is a social-climbing, clout-chaser. She realized the Malibu Beach proposal was “to get attention.”

Even though she was the one to pull the trigger, a source said, (quote) “Demi is really upset and distraught.”

This month started out rough for the couple, who fought in public. Those arguments continued as they relocated to Atlanta for his work in a movie. Ten days ago, Max was exposed for having a long-running obsession for Demi’s former-BFF, Selena Gomez. That opened her eyes to other red flags. A friend said, (quote) “Demi doesn’t trust him and thinks he’s sketchy.”
