Queen Elizabeth II would never stoop so low as to use a grocery store self-serve checkout.
The 93-year-old wouldn’t know how. At her age, she’s completely out of touch with the modern world.
On Wednesday, Her Majesty visited a grocery store as a courtesy. The British chain called Sainsbury’s celebrated its 150 years of service.
When the staff showed Queen Elizabeth the self-checkout aisle, her first response was to ask half-jokingly, (quote) “Can you get away without paying?” (Daily Telegraph)
