KIM KARDASHIAN: Mocked for Tone-Deaf Birthday

Kim Kardashian celebrated her 40th birthday on a private island with a couple dozen of her friends.

She tweeted on Tuesday with party pix (quote) “After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.”

Twitter went ham on Kim for throwing a lavish party in the middle of a pandemic. Thousands mocked Kim for her insensitivity while Americans make huge sacrifices. They repeated her tweet and added their own photo, often of a distressful scene. (New York Post) 

Kim added that her life is blessed like few others (quote) “I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is. #thisis40”
