KANYE WEST: Hear Ye, Hear Ye

Hear ye [pr: YEE], hear ye — Kanye West shall henceforth be known only by his popular nickname, Ye [pr: YAY].

A judge in Los Angeles granted Kanye Omari West the legal name change. He’s dropping both his middle and last name for “personal reasons.” It just so happens that his eighth album is also titled, Ye.

According to the dictionary, Ye is the plural of “you.” Which seems appropriate for Kanye West, who was diagnosed as bipolar. (Billboard)
