JOHN LEGEND: Reality Show to Mix Love and Music

John Legend has partnered with American Idol producer Simon Lythgoe to launch a reality series called Love at First Song.

The competition is a mash-up of sorts with elements of The Bachelor and American Idol. Competitors pair for romantic duets. At every episode, couples can swap to pair with a better singer or better lover.

Love at First Song steals an element of The Bachelor by placing couples in the same home. They practice love songs together and perform in weekly competitions.

Based on the series running in Asia, “contestants literally fall in love. Then must make heartbreaking decisions during their duets.” Do they leave their lover for a better singing partner? (Deadline Hollywood)
