JENNIFER LOPEZ, ALEX RODRIGUEZ: Aim to Buy New York Mets

Jennifer Lopez might become an owner of a Major League Baseball franchise.

J-Lo and fiancé Alex Rodriguez have reportedly approached JPMorgan Chase to help raise the money to purchase the New York Mets.

The Wilpon family owns the New York Mets but are interested in selling. In December, negotiations failed in a deal to sell 80 percent of the baseball franchise for more than $2.2 billion.

The combined net worth of J-Lo and A-Rod is estimated around $700 million. A-Rod retired four years ago from the New York Yankees. J-Lo is from the Yankees home: The Bronx. (Variety)
