HARRY STYLES: *Fyre Fest 2.0* at Miami Debacle

Written by on February 3, 2020

Harry Styles apologized Friday night for the sudden cancellation of his pre-Super Bowl concert in Miami. This was supposed to be his 26th birthday bash. Instead, it’s been compared to the Fyre Fest debacle.

Fans paid $300 and waited in line for 12 hours only to learn Harry Styles would not take the stage. An approaching storm forced thousands to evacuate the outdoor venue. They “trudged through nearly knee deep rain water” to reach the pickup area for Lyft and Uber. Surge pricing meant people were charged more than $100 for even a short ride home.

Harry Styles apologized Friday night on Twitter, (quote) “The fire department would not let us do the show under any circumstances. Please stay safe. I’m so disappointed, and I’m sorry.”

The previous night, Harry Styles joined Lizzo on stage to collaborate on her hit “Juice.” Harry did the verses while Lizzo joined on the chorus. (Billboard)
