DIPLO: Responds to STD Accusation

Diplo responded on social media to reports that the Los Angeles City Attorney is reviewing a police investigation into alleged sexual misconduct. He wrote on Instagram, (quote) “I won’t be extorted by anyone no matter how stinging the press can be.”

An unnamed 25-year-old woman accused Diplo of rape, revenge porn and infecting her with chlamydia.

Diplo defended himself by sharing several direct messages from this woman. He wrote, (quote) “Here’s a story about how a stalker scammed her way into my life and tried to extort me for millions and then sued me when she didn’t get what she wanted.”

Diplo admits to “consensual sex.” They maintained a flirtatious interaction through sexts and videos. Screengrabs show he rarely replied. Diplo said, (quote) “Eventually, it got too much to handle, and I stopped contact with her when she had started to become obsessed with me.” (Billboard)
