COLIN KAEPERNICK: May Practice With Los Angeles Chargers

NFL workouts have begun in anticipation of the football season starting after Labor Day.

The Los Angeles Chargers placed quarterback Colin Kaepernick on its workout roster. The football team’s head coach said, (quote) “He fits the style of quarterback that we want.”

Kaepernick has been effectively blackballed from the NFL for five seasons. Team owners consider him radioactive for his political stance. Kaepernick kneels during the national anthem in protest of racial injustice.

This year feels different. An NFL team might sign Kaepernick. The country’s mood has shifted his direction. Also, the NFL commissioner encouraged teams to hire Kaepernick. (ESPN)
