BTS, TAYLOR, ARIANA: On *Time*’s Most Influential List

Who runs the world? If you believe Time magazine, BTS, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande are high on the list.

The mag just completed its annual 100 Most Influential People issue, and the pop icons rank right up there with world leaders like Donald Trump, Pope Francis and Chinesepresident Xi Jianping. Each entrant has a tribute penned by a peer, so Ari was celebrated by Troye Sivan, Taylor by Shawn Mendes and Lady Gaga by Celine Dion.

BTS topped the reader vote for the second straight year, and earned a tribute from Halsey, who wrote, “Behind those three letters are seven astounding young men who believe that music is stronger than the barriers of language. It’s a universal dialect.”
