BRITNEY SPEARS: Five-Month Conservatorship Extension

Written by on August 24, 2020

Britney Spears must wait to become a free woman until next year at the earliest.

Last week, the judge extended the conservatorship until February 1. There will be another hearing in seven weeks as attorneys continue to submit documentation to support their arguments.

Britney’s lawyers said she will never perform again. Therefore, the conservatorship ought to evolve in ways to grow her wealth with limited annual income. Britney also wants her dad out of the picture. (Billboard)

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) poked their nose into Britney’s business. They’ve offered their services. The organization tweeted, (quote) “People with disabilities have a right to lead self-directed lives. If Britney Spears wants to regain her civil liberties and get out of her conservatorship, we are here to help her.” (Deadline)
