ARIANA GRANDE: Glinda in *Wicked* Movie Musical

he Broadway musical Wicked, which is a Wizard of Oz prequel, will be adapted into a feature film starring Ariana Grande.
She learned on Thursday night from director Jon M. Chu that she’s been cast as Glinda the good witch. Her co-star, Cynthia Erivo [pr: eh-REE-voh], will play the wicked witch of the west named Elphaba.
Ari sent flowers to her co-star. She wrote on the card, (quote) “Dear Cynthia, honored doesn’t even begin to cover it. I cannot wait to hug you. See you in Oz.”
Both actors have an EGOT in sight. Cynthia Erivo only lacks an Oscar. Meanwhile, Ariana has a pair of Grammys and possibly an Academy Award nomination in her future. (Billboard)
