Tuesday morning in Sweden, A$AP Rocky appears in a courtroom on charges of assault and causing bodily harm.
[UPDATE] He and his lawyers entered a plea of “not guilty.” They will argue that Rocky acted in self-defense. (CBS News)
The criminal trial is expected to last three days. So, by the end of this week, Rocky could learn his fate. If convicted, he faces up to two years in a Swedish prison and a fine based on a percentage of his income.
Prosecutors accused Rocky and two buddies of beating a man who’d pestered them. The lawyers say the trio worked “deliberately, together in agreement” as they kicked and smashed the guy with a bottle. A video shows the rapper violently throwing the man to the ground. (New York Post)
