SCOOTER BRAUN: “I’m Ready to Have That Conversation”

[UPDATE: 5:24 am eastern] A death threat was phoned to the home of Scooter Braun only hours after he pledged not to participate with Taylor Swift on social media. Overnight, he released an open letter on Instagram.

For the first time since Scooter Braun bought Taylor Swift’s music, he addressed their ugly feud in public. Scooter pleaded with her to return his calls. To date, Taylor has not. (“I’m sorry, the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now.”)

Scooter told a crowd Thursday evening at an entertainment conference, (quote) “I think people work things out when they communicate. These problems can be discussed behind closed doors and figured out pretty easily. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for six months.”

Scooter complained about how Taylor airs their dirty laundry on Twitter and Tumblr where he refuses to participate. (quote) “We live in a time of toxic division. People think that social media is the appropriate place to air it out. I don’t like politicians doing it and I don’t like anybody doing it.” (Variety)
