The Weeknd has spent a record-breaking 28 weeks with “Blinding Lights” in the top 5 of Billboard’s Hot 100. Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” had 27 weeks. The Chainsmokers and Halsey “Closer” for 26 weeks also for “Circles” by Post Malone. And “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars spent 25 weeks in the Top 5.  (Billboard)

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft will get off from being prosecuted for a “rub and tug” on consecutive days. A court of appeals ruled the massage parlor surveillance video from 2019 cannot be submit in trial. The tape reportedly showed the 79-year-old billionaire paid two ladies $200 for a handsy. He came and went from the strip mall parlor in less than 15 minutes. (ESPN)

The virtualEmmys, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, drew a paltry 6.1 million viewers. That was 20 percent fewer than last year, which dropped 33 percent from 2018’s viewership. In other words, Sunday night’s telecast established a “new low for the annual awards show.” (The Wrap) 

Before a limited studio audience, Wendy Williams broke down in tears on the season premiere of her talk show. The pandemic took its toll on her mental state. Wendy said, (quote) “It’s been a long seven months for us. I’m sure for you, too. You know it’s been since March… and what a mess.” (OK!)

Teddi Mellencamp will be axed from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for reportedly being “boring and stale.” An insider said Teddi was nearly fired a year ago “but gave her one last chance.” She failed to impress, which leaves a door open for Kris Jenner to join the reality show. (Daily Mail)
