HALSEY: Manic Music

Halsey told Rolling Stone magazine that she’s experiencing an “extended manic period.” The bipolar singer’s upcoming album is the first one written while manic.

Halsey’s not ashamed now to talk about her mental health, including a suicide attempt as a teenager. She’s quietly been hospitalized twice (quote) “I’ve said to my manager ‘Hey, I’m not going to do anything bad right now, but I’m getting to the point where I’m scared that I might.’”

Because of her career and fragile health, Halsey said she avoids hard alcohol and drugs (quote) “I support my whole family. I have multiple houses, I run a business. I just can’t be out getting [messed] up all the time.”  (Rolling Stone)
