CARDI B: “Okurrr” Trademark Denied

Cardi B has beef to take up with Khloe Kardashian.

The rapper applied three months ago to trademark her catchphrase “okurrr.” However, officials at the U.S. Patent and Trademark office denied Cardi’s application. They told her that “okurrr” is a “widely-used commonplace expression.”

Officials did their research watching reality shows. They gave several examples in episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashianswith sisters Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner saying “okurrr.” (The Blast)

Tyra Banks applied for a trademark of “smize” on an upcoming ice cream brand.

While on America’s Next Top Model, Tyra told contestants to “smize” – which was her way to say “smile with the eyes.”

Last week, Tyra applied for a “Smize Cream” trademark. She indulges in ice cream now that she’s embraced her new body curves (quote) “I thought I needed to drop 30 pounds. Then the ice cream called my name. Yep, all flavors. From Butter Pecan to Matcha to Coffee. I love me some ice cream.” (People)
