STORMY DANIELS: “Not Shocked” by Avenatti’s Arrest

Adult film star Stormy Daniels said Monday that she was “saddened but not shocked by the news reports” that her former attorney Michael Avenattihad been charged with federal crimes.

Avenatti famously represented Daniels in her lawsuit against Donald Trump and his estranged attorney Michael Cohen. On Monday she reacted on Twitter to the news that Avenatti had been charged with bank fraud and a plan to extort Nike, in two different states.

Daniels said in a statement, “Knowing what I know now about Michael Avenatti, I am saddened but not shocked by news reports that he has been criminally charged. I made the decision more than a month ago to terminate Michael’s services after discovering that he had dealt with me extremely dishonestly and there will be more announced to come.” (USA Today)
