NCIS viewers usually enjoy watching the show once a week when it arrives on a Tuesday night – however, this week’s edition has been cancelled for the second week in a row – and it’s all to do with the American election.

NCIS fans have enjoyed seeing the show arrive on-screen each week for most of the last 17 years. Not much has halted the show from airing in recent years but fans of the show were a little unhappy last week when the next instalment, season 17, episode 17, was pulled from being shown on CBS in the USA.
This week, fans had similar luck as episode 17 was once again been pulled from CBS on Tuesday, March 4.
NCIS’ absence was due to CBS’ news feature which is dedicated to the American Election.Tuesday was known as Super Tuesday in America, which is when the most US states hold contests to pick a presidential nominee.
It is also where most people get to cast their ballot for the election.

While it is an important day for Americans, it, unfortunately, means they miss out on another week of Agent Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon) and his NCIS team.
CBS have dubbed the event in place of NCIS the “CBS News Election Special Super Tuesday: High Stakes.”
The feature’s description doesn’t reveal much, but it does tell viewers: “Special coverage of the Super Tuesday primaries.”
Fans of the show were not happy about this news and began hitting out on Twitter about the disruption to the schedule.

One fan – Bri – wrote: “Ya know ncis not being on tonight is Bri discrimination.” (sic)
Another furiously added: “I cannot believe FBI and NCIS was cancelled for this circus act. Disgusting.”
A third chimed in to say: “I can’t believe they cancelled #Ncis for this #DemDebate2020 I’m super political but what a s**t show.”
Unfortunately, viewers will have to wait until next week to see another episode of the crime drama.
